The department of immigration has a number of booklets available for new immigrants to Australia with a wealth of information on things such as:
A Checklist on what to do once you arrive (drivers license, tax file number, bank account, kids schools, etc), important & emergency contact details, a brief summary of laws, way of life, etc.
There is a separate booklet for each state (as laws and processes differ in states) and they come in PDF format, so can be downloaded, saved, printed...
Some of the information is obvious for the average person, but some of it is invaluable for new people arriving.
