Hello Carmy,

Great stuff, hope the wait is not too long.

In terms of browsing for furniture - we found it quite strange that we weren't able to browse furniture shops actual catalogues much - they seem to have a limited amount online - not as advanced as places like, say the UK and US.

That being said, here are a few of the major furniture stores to get you started. Buying furniture in Aus is relatively easy - there are thousands of furniture stores!

As ICE said above - IKEA is a good option, they're very good for people who first arrive - the furniture isn't antique quality, but it's funky and affordable enough to get you started.

Here are a couple of companies in Perth and Western Australia -

Another thing you may want to consider is hiring furniture when you get here. This is a good option because you don't have to spend ages shopping for things you like - you can set up house quickly knowing that you can buy the things you really like as you go along. Here are some sites.

Hope this helps... :thumbs

Here is a site to ask for Le Cornu's on-line catalogue - they are based in Adelaide.
