    Hi

I am going through the same thing.

My letter of invite is addressed to my fiancé outlining how long we have known each other. How long he has lived with me and that it is my wish for him to join me in UK permanently as my husband as I am a UK citizen in full time employment.

I am having trouble finding out exactly what is needed in this letter but I think that is pretty much it.

My fiancé has also written a letter of intent addressed to the Entry Clearance Officer explaining the same as mine. How long we have known each other, I am a UK citizen in full time employment and that he intends to look for work over here once he is permitted to do so.

Our friend’s testimonials will also include the above: how long they have known us, I am in full time employment and a statement about our relationship.

Let me know if you need to know anything else. Also, I have written a long list of everything my fiancé will take to his VFS appointment when applying for his spousal visa. You can find this in the UK index where everyone’s requests are placed.

I hope this helps as I know how frustrated I am with all this.

    Good luck.

    Saph

    Sample Letter of Support

You can google Sample letter of Support. I will be needing the same type of letter from friends and family for my case.

The letters are really personal and I don't believe there is a strict way to address it. Just make sure they speak to your character and how long they have known you and what they know about you and your fiance.

Just make sure they address to the appropriate place and to whom it may concern.

It was suggested to me to have the letters notarized by different notaries. Also make sure they include their names, address and phone #

Get as much support as you can. I have been going thru this for many years and I am still not with my husband.

    Good Luck and God Bless
